The part at the end when they prepare to separate is unexpectedly touching. Boone is self-effacing and aware of his sluttiness in a way that was appealing. I never quite felt like I got to know him as well, just his accomplishments, but I suspect the second book gives us more. That being said, it IS entertaining, I like both our MCs and the unfolding of who Wade was. This was quite funny but not as funny as their other story, so don’t use that book as the measuring stick for this one. I first read this author in Zombie Boyz and he (along with co-author Jeff Night) killed that book-it was hysterical! So my expectations might have been a bit too high for this one.
